Everything that happened, happened as a result of what happened in RinkChat. It was as though RinkChat was a semi-transparent layer in front of a TV screen. Or almost like some kind of "low-end Matrix" thing. (You know the scene in the end where Neo sees everything as green code lines? It was a bit like that, but in white, black & blue.)

Alright, since I think I was gone when the RinkDream thread was going on, I'll mention that first dream in which I was ever able to read English was also my first RinkDream. Usually when I try to read text in dreams, I can't - I know that there are words there, and in a language I can understand, but I cannot actually read them. I'm not illiterate, but rather alexic. You can imagine how frustrating this is to me!

The RinkDream was actually a dream-within-a-dream, which might've made a difference... I dreamt I was dreaming, and so I could read there, but couldn't once I awoke one level into the first dream. Hm. (Incidentally, the plot of the dream itself wasn't at all notable... casual banter that might as well have happened while I was waking.)

I wish I had kept a dream journal when I had it, though, so I could note that down. I keep one off and on, now, and try to keep it close to my bed so that when I have an interesting dream, I can write it down before I lose it. (Am thinking of eventually posting it to my web site, just for kicks. :-)) I don't put much stock in analysis of them, but they're interesting to read. Anyone else?

-Fob"did I really write this post, or will I wake up and realize I'd just dreamt it?"ulis
