I keep one off and on, now, and try to keep it close to my bed so that when I have an interesting dream, I can write it down before I lose it. (Am thinking of eventually posting it to my web site, just for kicks. :-)) I don't put much stock in analysis of them, but they're interesting to read. Anyone else?

I think that by "anyone else?" you asked if anyone else records their dreams. I am usually amused by my dreams, but the recurring ones disturb me and I often try to sort out their meaning. I have three recurring dreams--one I've been having from at least the age of 5 (which is about what I'm sure is my worst fear), another that has been occuring every month for six years, and another that I dream almost every three days, for the past two years. All three are frightening and depressing and I usually awaken in a melancholy state that lasts until noon.

Here's an interesting recurring dream story: My older sisters were twins, Carol and Jackie. They, along with my mother and myself, occasionally had brief flashes into the future: never anything useful, of course--we just know things sometimes. (For example, this Christmas I watched as my boyfriend's brother-in-law assembled his kids' presents. Among the pile, I saw one that I *knew* wouldn't work. I knew that they would try to fix it, and eventually it would work without a problem. Minutes later, the father turned on the new toy, and sure enough, it didn't work.) Anyway, Carol had a recurring dream her whole life--in the dream, she died on a sunny morning, on a hill, with a white wall. The dream *did* come true, but it was our sister Jackie who died that way--she wrecked her motorcycle into a white wall, along with the other details.

As for reading, I always thought it was impossible to read in dreams, because of brain hemisphere physiology. In dreams I look at printed pages and know what they say, but I dunno if I read, really. What happened in your dream?
