Blondie's Big Deal (1949)

Reviews and Comments

Dagwood invents a fire-repellent paint, which could prove invaluable to the company, but a rival firm sabotages a public demonstration. The story concentrates more on Blondie than Dagwood and her attempts to foil the criminals' plot. This film is rare bright spot in the waning years of the series; unfortunately a promising beginning ends with an anti-climactic, half-hearted finale. Still, it's unquestionably the best to come from director Edward L. Bernds.
