Charlie Chan At the Olympics (1937)

Reviews and Comments

A military navigating device is stolen from Honolulu, and Charlie Chan tracks it all the way to Berlin, where his number one son is competing in the Olympics. Solid detective work. Lots of twists and mysterious goings-on. One of the best series entries.

As a trivia note, this episode features an small appearance of Chan's number two son -- before Victor Sen Yung played him as a recurring character. This movie's number two son is a whole lot younger -- the producers should have called this one the number four or five son, especially since Chan's oldest two or three sons, as seen in the previous year's Charlie Chan At the Circus, were older than this one.
