I have to give a big "Bravo!" to Stephen and others who see the immigration thing the same as me. I try to put myself in the place of a poor Mexican who can look across the border and say, "Why not me? Are those Gringos better than me? Do they deserve to live in luxury more than me?"

I am all for following the law, but I would break the law of another country if it would allow me to find a better job and make enough money to raise my family's standard of living.

This is not new thinking for me. I have wondered about the contrasts on the other side of the Rio Grande for many years. I think I'll search RinkWorks and see when it was that I posted a thing about the river that separates the haves from the have-nots. I think I called it Holy River or something silly like that. It may be deep in the archives by now.
