Heh. A LOT of that has been lost. Nowadays, it's not about celebrating evil (or whatever other mythology that Halloween was built on, can't remember the specifics right now) - it's about getting playfully scared, wearing costumes (any sort will do), and getting free candy. That's it. Pretty much the only people who take Halloween 'seriously' any more are those belonging to pagan/earth religions and such.

It's just a night when you can wear cool costumes and are allowed to extort candy from your neighborhood.
