Peaches, yes. But pears have the same problems, and they were on the list. Underripe pears are synonymous with funny-shaped rocks, and overripe pears are just nasty and mealy, like peaches. I'm rather surprised by the number of people who chose bananas; bananas can be eaten at any time from when they start to turn yellow to just before they ferment. That's a space of like three weeks.
