Gross! Bananas were my answer. I am very picky about them: it's not even enough for the green to recede: then they're still too rigid and off in taste. But mushy bananas are disgusting.

I'm not sure how I can describe exactly what percentage of the peeling needs to be brown to be good enough to eat, but, for me, there's only a window of about a day where it's good. Evidently I'm not the only one.
