I have only explored about half of the level and twice now over half of my party has been killed. The Gryphons and the Phoenigi are the worst. > > > > > > > > What should I do to keep my party alive to progress further? Have more Sorcerers? I've gotten one myself, and never wanted to go back (Well.. maybe once when he was level 1 and all my party was 8+, but still...) Put clearly, my assassin (now level 10, exactly at what level I re-trained my knight into assassin) hits once for as much damage as my knight did with 2 hits. > > > > > > I don't have a druid (yet), so I can't comment about them. > > > > > > As for the bats/phoenix thing, there isn't much you can do. You really should get more sorcerors. They're pretty much the only thing you can do against large groups of breathers. You might also want to spend more stat points in vitality. You're on your own. Remember, level 4 is the first real tough level. After that, it only gets worse. :( > > > > I guess I could train one of my Knights as an Assassin, or my Wizard or my Sorcerer as a Druid, if they could only meet the minimum stats (which they do not yet do by far). > > > > But as of having another Sorcerer, where do you suggest I get one? I already have the maximum number of characters in my party. Should I retrain one of my Knights as a Sorcerer, seeing as I cannot really afford to be without a Wizard, and a Rogue is helpful with treasure chests? > > I think you should definitely retrain either a Knight or the Rogue as a Sorcerer or a Wizard. As it stands now, you've got 4 fighting classes and only 3 spots to put them, so one of them's stuck in the 4th position (or behind) and has to use long-range weapons. You might as well have extra spellcasting power and keep the ability to use a long-range weapon from that spot.
I've been thinking of training one of the lesser-experienced Knights as a Sorcerer. But which one? The Rock Elf or the Troll? Which would make a better Sorcerer?
Update to the situation: The levels are now as follows:
Human Wizard: level 11
Human Knight: level 11
Wind Elf Rogue: level 11
Rock Elf Knight: level 9
Troll Knight: level 8
Wind Elf Sorcerer: level 9
