Well, today I went to the class of 2001's graduation, and I stumbled upon a rather odd observation. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't one supposed to stand up when the graduates are walking along, under the little archway thing? I mean, isn't that something you're supposed to do out of respect or whatever? My mom and I were the only people in our area standing up. *shrug* I dunno, but I thought it was something you're supposed to do.
Anyway, the whole occasion was really sad. I had quite a few friends in that class, and it's sad seeing them all going all different directions. We all have each other's email addresses, though, so it's not the end of the world or anything.
Hmm...it freaks me out to think that in one year, it will be my turn. It's not so much that I'm afraid to go to college, though that's part of it. It's more that...well...I don't want to drift apart from the people I've known for almost my entire life. Sure, some people I'll rejoice over not seeing again, but it'll be hard not seeing some of the people I love five days out of every week.
Anywho, I just threw together a binder/portfolio for my Internship credit or whatever it's called. I'm supposed to include awards in it, and being the chica de queso that I am, I put every award I could find in the thing. This means that not only did I include the Academic Award of Excellence I got at the beginning of this year, but every award from primary school as well (i.e. Good Penmanship Award, HOSTS Tutor of the Month, Great Reader Award, and Good Listener Award). *shrug*
Hmm...oh, yes, it's finals week this week, and my History test is an open book one, which can't be good. Open book tests are always more difficult, at least I think so. My finals will be pretty easy this semester, though. There's the English one, which the Japanese exchange student told me was very easy...umm, internship, which is just a Powerpoint presentation about everything I've learned. Spanish...that'll be hard because I haven't studied at all and the test is on Tuesday and Wednesday. Heh. Umm...oh, and Journalism's final is just a review of a movie (The Mummy). (I can't type...I typed "The Muffy" first.) Umm...math will be hard because I am anti-matematicas. And of course History. Wow...yeeha and bring out the grated cheese.
