travelled through space at 10% the speed of light,
do the effects of relativity (i.e., time passes
more slowly for those doing the travelling)
become significant?

My guess is that it does, and while the 80 year
round trip might be 80 years to the people doing
it, a lot more Earth years may have passed by the
time they get back.

Not that this has anything to do with the
original discussion.
