yeah, I wish I could get Shiner Bock beer up here in Jersey. Oh man, I loved the stuff when I was down in Texas and these three years since we moved away.... it's been hard.

The closest place that sells the beer is in Maryland. We picked some up when visiting relatives down there about a year ago. It was pretty funny -- all they had were cold bottles, so the wife and I had to purchase two huge coolers and fill them with ice to keep the beer cool for the four-hour drive home.

our fridge was stocked with the stuff. It looked like we were in college. (heh).

Anyway, that was on Sunday when the X-Files was on and at the end, what are M&S drinking? Shiner Bock.

We also had lunch at Chili's -- it's rather hard to get to up here and we haven't been to it at all since we moved up here. Anyway, we had lunch at Chili's and saw on the menu -- hold me back -- "Country-Fried Steak". Which is Northern for "Chicken-Fried Steak". Which is the national dish of Texas.

So we were already in a homesick mood when the national beer of Texas is prominently displayed at the end of that night's X-Files.

Sigh.

I miss Texas.
