In Oklahoma we have a restaurant called Del Rancho that has the absolute *best* chicken fried steak you could ever imagine. I have never eaten there that the steak wasn't at least 10" in diameter. These things are absolutely huge. And they're not pre-breaded and frozen either. They are hand breaded right there... when you order.
They're served with country gravy that is made with milk not water. It is thick and creamy. The mashed potatoes are instant but hey, that's trivial to me.
You can also get them as a sandwich. Same sized steak on a bun with Mayo, and all the toppings (you have to ask for cheese). Now the steak sticks out from the bun all around and it's almost an entire meal just eating the steak from around the sandwich to get to the rest of the goody under the bread.
