Tarzan and the Trappers (1958)

Reviews and Comments

In an effort to take Tarzan to the small screen, producer Sol Lesser filmed three episodes of a potential TV series. The show was rejected, so the three episodes were edited together and released as a feature film. (Hence why this film is black and white where the prior, Tarzan and the Lost Safari, was color.)

The acting from the "guest stars" is wooden, and, presumably because of the lower budget, there's more than the usual amount of recycled footage from previous Tarzan films. The plot is recycled too, for that matter, which details Tarzan's efforts to stop trappers from taking animals from the jungle. Filmed after, but released before Tarzan's Fight For Life.
