Reviews and Comments

Tarzan and the Golden Lion was thought to be lost until a French copy was unearthed somewhere. The recovery of lost films is always a good thing, but this one was more of a fun curiosity than an important find. It proceeds clumsily (though quickly) through its hour-long running time and never really pulls off the level of spectacle it seemed to be going for. That said, there are some memorable visuals here, including a big battle on a mountainside and the customary secret caves and temples. Interestingly, Boris Karloff appears as one of the villains.
