After a high point in the East Side Kids series comes this low, Kid Dynamite. It starts as yet another boxing episode. This time it's singularly uninspired and leads into a grossly unconvincing squabble between Muggs and Danny. The characters have never been less likeable, and so when the film shifts to wartime patriotism, instead of being inspiring it's just one more turn of the screw. The only positive note is a mildly amusing jitterbug contest.
