My problem with the rat was that I *thought* I'd tried the correct sequence and it hadn't worked. Therefore I didn't try again.

It's some time since I played the game, but I'm wondering if it's related to a practical problem I had, as I played on a 56K modem. Sometimes, if I checked an option and tried to continue before the banner ad had fully downloaded, I got a repeat of the current page, rather the result of what I'd tried. Failing to notice this had happened occasionally led me to to discard the correct option.

Regarding the other games, I agree with the list of difficult problems - except for the power conduits. These gave me no problems whatsoever, and I'm baffled as to why people found it such a difficult problem.
