> Tomorrow (Thursday), I take my first Driver's Training lesson. That's where you actually get behind the wheel of the car and drive! I'm pretty nervous, because I've driven only down our driveway, and I'm not very good at even *that*. This is going to be in the CITY, and out where I live in the country, four cars is a lot of traffic! Any tips for a nervous teenager?

It really can't be very hard, especially if you consider that my sister actually got her driver's license. She then proceeded to get in five mishaps involving the car, and the last one totaled the poor vehicle. All in one year, no less.

But, on a more positive note, I got my driver's license years ago, and I've only had one minor accident since then. (It wasn't even my fault, and we got a lot of money for it, so that worked out nicely.) Until I had Driver's Training, I had driven the car for a grand total of about 48.35 seconds -- rounded off to the nearest hundredth of a second. My mom let me drive in a very empty part of a Wal-Mart parking lot, and then she suddenly got a headache and said that was enough. When I told the driving instructor this, he said we'd just take it slowly at first. But within an hour, I was driving through town and onto the freeway. The whole thing was really quite effortless.
