It's never worked for me, although I only cried once. That was when I was 16 and scared to death that my mom would go into a rage when she heard I got a speeding ticket.

However, I do know someone who, as of two years ago, had been pulled over 22 times and had only gotten two tickets. She sweet-talked her way out of the rest of them, and I don't believe she ever used tears.
