There was this great monster of a house in Bellingham that was totally black. It was bavarian style, I think, but had out-of-place turrets and stuff. And it was very black ... the siding, the trim, the curtains behind the windows. They really should have hosted Halloween parties there.

We consented to a color described as "tan, or light brown" for our home. It's pink, very pink. People who visit us for the first time never fail to ask, "Pink?" It's just an odd choice when you live in the forest.
