In Santa Maria, a city located in the Santa Maria Valley, California, formerly known as Central City (loooooong time ago) there is a purple house. And when I say purple house, I don't just mean the garage, and the front door, and the shutters, but the WHOLE golldarned thing is purple: garage, doors, window frames, roof, siding, porch, railings, curtains, fences, etc. Pretty much anything you can see from the outside is some shade of purple. I haven't been inside, but suppposedly it is all purple, too. People come from miles (yes, really, miles...maybe not many, but miles) around just to drive by. My grandma always wants to drive by, even though she's seen it millions of times.
It's like a celebrity house.
So anyways, it's not common, nor does it look fairly normal.
