Personally, I tend to see fantasy as having a more spiritual atmosphere, more about the magnificent things and creatures in the world. I think using the term "magic" so much without a perfectly clear definition is bound to come up with several debates like this. However, you can't really clearly define magic. Looking in the dictionary, it refers to incantations and such, but that doesn't really capture the essence of it, does it? This is gonna get me a lot of other viewpoints, but I like to think of magic as "that which is impossible being possible".
