The analogy holds to an extent, but it's misleading in that it trivializes the importance and immense ramifications of such an action. It's better, I submit, to get rid of the analogy forever. Rather than taking action *like* trying and sentencing him, what's wrong with doing just that?

So try him in a criminal court. If he's found guilty, convict and sentence him. That's what would happen to anyone else who did the same thing -- you wouldn't get *fired*, you'd get tried in a criminal court.

The kicker of it all is that he's never going to get booted out of office. This is a partisan attack, and the Republicans control 55%, not 67%, of the Senate. That's the whole ridiculous thing. It's like Captain Ahab, abandoning all sense and sanity to kill the white whale, knowing full well in advance he couldn't possibly succeed.
