Because two guys in rubber Godzilla suits is twice as good as one, Son of Godzilla is actually pretty good. Good only by Godzilla standards, of course. This is pure, ridiculous camp. This time, the particular monsters Godzilla slams on the ground are giant preying mantises and a giant spider, which nearly prevails by spraying gunk at him. Comic relief comes in the form of watching Son of Godzilla crawl around and fall over while Godzilla tries to teach him out to shoot fire. It's either cute and inane or just inane, depending on your mood. For those with a bizarre affinity for these movies, this could be just the ticket.
