It is arguable whether there has ever been a good Godzilla movie, but there have certainly been fun ones. This isn't one. In fact, it can barely even be called a Godzilla movie, so little screen time does Godzilla or his rival Megalon get. For a monster movie, this is all too talky. When the monsters finally do show up, even then it is lethargic and uninspired. Were the filmmakers themselves bored with Godzilla?
