Murkon's Refuge - When to Retrain?

What are your suggestions on when and how many times to retrain?

I've played the game a little while already, just starting on the 4th floor before I retrained everyone, all-at-once, so I could do their stats over again. (So I could start from square 1 and rekindle interest in the game.) And of course, from now on every time I retrain I'll do it one person at a time.
