Yeah, but given the example, a "sci-fi/superhero" is a superhero by virtue of being an alien (or, presumably, by having access to strange alien technologies). Like Superman. Or the Martian Manhunter. Or Hawkman. Or the Green Lantern.

Spiff is more your sci-fi/action-adventure hero, like Flash Gordon or Buck Rogers.
