I did a currency conversion to see that 3.65 pounds is equal to about $7.02... YIKES! If that's really what people in the UK are paying for a gallon of gas, it really puts our little American "plight" into perspective. Stations around where I live are charging about $2.12 for a gallon, which is about 1.10 pounds. The only reason Americans are so upset about it is because it's the most expensive it's ever been here, and continues to rise. When you're used to paying a certain amount, even if it's comparitively cheap, you never want to pay more than that. But my goodness, with prices that high, how DO you cope?
