You must have used them or you wouldn't have made it to this
part of the game. Remember how you left the Sage's caverns?

Your problem appears to stem from three apparent deficiencies
in your inventory:

1) Why, oh why did you leave that crate sitting somewhere, and
isn't your rope still hanging from the battlements? You're not
done with them yet. (If the crate's at the shack, get it
regardless.)
2) Once those are found, you'll be able to steal something in
Llagimlyn to get the job done.
