I also went to the bakery and thought over Poppy Selt's (I thought you meant him when you said the barkeep) advice too many times to count but it still says the same thing. I tried going to the blacksmith but I only get the option of asking for a sword and asking for a suit of armor. Neither does anything. After doing all this, I went back to Blood Drops but he's still too busy and I still have no option to switch the pictures on the wall.

Did you visit the gwuils in the south? If not do so now. Also what may be stalling you, have you looked at the picture in the dinning room and noticed the ring?
