The porticullus has been fixed and I've bought Blood Drops a drink but he's always too busy to talk. I worked at the bar but wasted my money on that stupid map (I know, I'm dumb), and don't know what to do. I've read about having to take a picture from the banquet hall but I only the option to take the dishes.

I also went to the bakery and thought over Poppy Selt's (I thought you meant him when you said the barkeep) advice too many times to count but it still says the same thing. I tried going to the blacksmith but I only get the option of asking for a sword and asking for a suit of armor. Neither does anything. After doing all this, I went back to Blood Drops but he's still too busy and I still have no option to switch the pictures on the wall.

He spoke of how you could work magical wonders if you believed you could. Poppy Selt's words seem to indicate that you can't do anything if you believe you can't. But how could that help? Does he mean to imply that if only you could believe you can defeat the Shadows, that you will, in fact, be able to? Surely such powerful magic would be too much for your spirit to bear, even with a sufficient level of belief and self-confidence."

Yes but with the barkeep. You have to get the idea of the ring from your thinking over what he said. Then go make the switch-a-roo. you know how to do that. :-)
