Having just returned from a monthlong stay in Panama, I have to say I like their coinage, too. Vasco Nuñez de Balboa has held up quite nicely in his nifty helmet, and I also like the representative of the indigenous people that they have on their centavo. I happen to think their coins are a little less cluttered and busy than their US equivalents.

I can't imagine that such a veteran traveller as yourself hasn't been to Panama -- where'd you go and what did you see?
