Well, you can expect to have to search the level pretty thoroughly to locate that key you need to get to the town. And you can expect to meet some pretty strange and ugly monsters. And a good area to train for all of this is in a different part of level four that's not accessible from the way you came in, where there is a higher concentration of not-quite-as-strange-and-ugly-as-the-rest level 4 monsters and some pools. If you haven't been there yet, you'll have to go back to level 3 to get there.
