Heed commie_bat's words well, chasen. I was able to finish the game without having discovered all of the pools on level 10. So I asked here, and got the "have you been everywhere?" response. So I decided not to be content with just having killed Murkon and got the King's Diadem, but to literally explore every square after that. And I found the missing pools.
