Well, I probably count... I am older than you, but all of my experience comes along the side of failing and losing, so one thing to consider is that perhaps you should do the opposite of whatever I say to do. Anyhow.

I would say call her. If she says yes, that would be wonderful. If she says no, well... what will it hurt? I mean, you'll feel let down, but, honestly, I imagine you're feeling extremely pensive and unfulfilled right now, and (trust me, I speak from experience) if she turns you down, you'll feel lousy for a little while and then get back to life, whereas, if you don't call her, you'll feel anxious for a good long time.

There was a girl, back when I was in high school, whom I had a very large, embarassing crush on. I spent *two years* wondering what I should do before I got up the courage to ask her. Of course, when I did, she turned me down, and I expected a rejection; but the rejection I expected was of the "laughing-in-my-face" variety, where what I got was a very kind, caring girl telling me as nicely as she could that she wasn't interested. And I was disappointed, but my life didn't end. I got over it in not very long, and I can't honestly say that my memories of her are "tainted" at all by the experience.

On the other hand, one of my best friends and I wrote to each other *constantly* this past summer, and, at one point, she stopped writing. And she had a reason for this - not that however long that had been was comparable to a year or however long it's been that you haven't heard from her; I'm just saying that perhaps there is another reason buried in there somewhere. So don't give up hope just yet.

Hey, let us know how stuff turns out - I'm hoping everything works out for you... perhaps you'll fare better than I did.
