if you found the room where the stalagmites are & chopped some down, then you've cleared a path for getting to the sandstone caverns. you need to ride a cart, jump off the cart & catch the cart again. the timing is tricky. I strongly suggest put POA in search messages & read the different info provided there.
you're missing a key for the refinery. explore Kepler's room more thoroughly.
