I just got back from Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
I highly recommend it. We stayed down at Surfside which is south of town. Nice beaches, perfect weather. Warm water. Nightly fireworks. My only complaint was the slow elevator, but that can happen anywhere.

My grandson was there (He still is. We came home early.) and we used his metal detector to find money on the beach. We found a buck or two every day and some rings and things. Nothing valuable, but it was fun.

One day the waves were big enough for body surfing. I always enjoy that, but it wears me out quicker than it used to. I walked for miles in the edge of the surf. Good exercise. It takes about 7 or 8 hours from here via Toyota, but I still might have to go back in a few weeks.
