Oh, have no fear, I have no intention of following either of those paths. I will retire quite comfortably, and enjoy it, and I am already working towards that goal by paying off all my debts and denying myself certain luxuries (the ones I don't really need anyway) right now with an eye on the future gain. No, my concern wasn't about my eventual retirement, but about ever being a teacher. Not that I wouldn't like to be a teacher; I just don't think that going back to school for two more years (or more) is in the cards for me when I'm quite happy with the engineering job I have right now. :-)
