My cat (before he moved to New Jersey) used to come into the shower with me. Usually he'd just sit on the tub wall, but sometimes he'd slip in, and he never panicked, just jumped out and sat on the tub wall licking himself dry. I've known other cats to walk into shower stalls during the shower, too. So while an argument can definitely be made they don't like baths, maybe they are like men in that a shower will do them fine.
