> Then I wonder what makes me so insecure. My theory is it's because I'm an adolescent (please don't call me a teenager), and haven't yet discovered what 'works'. I mean, all I know is how to act like a little kid, and of course a little kid's opinions aren't going to count in a discussion about the current intelligence of the forum or how people live in the big city.

If they don't, they should. A person's age shouldn't make any difference. Their views are equally valid. A ten year old New Yorker's opinion on how people live in a big city would likely be way more valid than an opinion from a 30 year old small-city resident like me.

People aren't born dumb and get more intelligent as they get older -- the difference comes from how their life experience gives them a greater ability, and confidence, to express what they think. If you can start expressing your opinions now, you are less of a little kid because of it, and more of a mature thinker. Anyway, what's wrong with calling yourself a teenager? There's nothing wrong with being who you are.

> And perhaps this entire post doesn't mean anything, because you've all been adolescents, right? You all know what I'm talking about, so there's no point in my talking about it.

Even if we have been adolescents, we haven't been *you*. For that reason, your perspective on every single topic we could possibly discuss will be different from everybody else's, and equally valid.
