Ok, here I come to save your day. You need to go to the south tower and get up to the 3rd floor. Then read books until you get an object. Then go to the South fortress and give that object to the guardian at the front on the castle. Explore around that castle. You will get at least 2 things. One of them will help you get into the North castle through a very hot place. Don't worry about the boat anymore. Once it's gone, it means that you don't need it. The rabbit's only purpose is the cat so don't worry about him. And don't worry about the meadow or boxes, they aren't used at all. Hope that helps you out.
