The redundancies are happening because we're making a loss and they want to slim the company down. The main difference between being made redundant and being sacked is that they have to compensate you, and if your job is recreated they need to give you first refusal on it.

Just to confirm Thursday as being my least-favourite day in recent history, as I was on my hame from work that day, my (campany issued) laptop decided not to get off the train with me.
