I've also heard the terms "quadrat" and "tetrat" to describe a sequence of four books. I can't say I like those terms, but I think they're a bit better than "tetrology".

And I remember a sequence of Dr Who novels that were refered to as a "decalog". I don't remember if there were 10 books, but I think there were.

Overall, I think I prefer "cycle".
