Well, I don't think she did something wrong. She stuck to her principles when they were tested. What if she had aborted some of the babies, and then the remaining all survived? She had to take a chance. Either way she would have suffered a loss, and she took the option which (very unlikely, but still) might have given her all her children. It's not what I would have chosen, but it was probably the only option she could live with.
