It also has an very moving scene set on Earth after the great war has destroyed everything. There is one house left standing and it is fully autonomous and going about its daily business, with robots cleaning and preparing food, but there are no humans left. > > ding"brought to tears over a house being left alone..."dong
I haven't read "The Silver Locusts" but I read that autonomous house story as one of his short stories. It *does* look as if he just compiled a whole lot of his stories into longer novels.
