I got a part!! It's a small part, but I am so incredibly excited. I don't have time this semester for a large part anyway, and I will now have some theater experience (as opposed to having to put "none" on the sheet they want you to fill out). Thank you so much everyone for your help. :-)

It's funny, actually, how the audition went. I wasn't nervous at all, but as I was sitting there something felt odd. I realized that because this was a children's theater everyone was auditioning with light, happy, children stuff. My poem (I did memorize it) had some pretty heavy imagery - didn't really fit in. Although *one* person *did* read Sylvia Plath.... Anyway, I wasn't sure what to do when I remembered the sign said we could audition with poems, stories, plays, improv something, etc. So, I decided to improv based on a book I've been reading (The Mysts of Avalon, a retelling of the King Arthur Ledgend). When I got on stage, I actually said that I had something prepared but decided not to do it and instead to improv based on (etc). It must have worked - they had the cast list out today (the morning after auditions) and I didn't realize I was cast until someone told me. I'm glad she did because of the meeting we had.

Anyway, thanks again for your help.

Ga"happy me - I'm gonna love this"halia
