I think I figured out why I only heard of it two years ago: in 1999, some agency or magazine selected it as the best commercial of all time because so many people recalled it after one viewing.

Well, I've seen it, finally. I can see hints of why it might be interesting, in a "Citizen Kane of the Commercials" kind of way.

Question(s). Uh, so why was it run only ONCE ever, during Superbowl XVIII and never after? What exactly is that special quality which supposedly makes it "the greatest commercial of all time"? I don't find it that memorable -- but apparently everyone else *did*.
