Okaydokay guys. I am in dire need of your assistance. Here's the scoop:

I have to do a science fair project for my 8th grade science class.
I have NO CLUE what to do.

Here are guidlines:

~Experimenting on vertebrates (that will bring harm to animal) or with any type of gun (they might bring harm to the student, I guess is what the peoples are thinking ^_~) is prohibited.
~Poisons, dangerous chemicals, and open fires should be avoided.
**It must be/have an EXPERIMENT, not just a report.**

Here is the "standards" for grading/judging:

~Creative Abiltity: Based on *experimental science*, originality, ingenious use of materials, and purposeness.
~Scientific Thought: *Organization*, accurate observation, understanding of scientific facts.
~Thoroughness: Relating a complete story.
~Skill: Good workmanship in handling materials, preparation, mounting.
~Clarity: Appropriate labeling, description, and sequence of thought to guide a "visitor."
~Dramatic Value: Overall attractiveness of exhibit compared to others in the same field.

According to the calendar we were given, here are a few dates:

~Feb. 22-Final declaration of topic (but starting at this time is ridiculous, I hope to start sometime in the next few weeks)
~March 1-Outline and diagrams due (I'm not quite what this is, but it's another reason NOT to start only a week earlier)
~MARCH 22-COMPLETED EXHIBIT DUE. (Ahhhh...it seems so far away, but I just know it will all of a sudden be there, gah)

Supposedly we are going to be researching or talking about our topics sometime this week, but this may not be true. I hope not.

That's about all I think I have to tell you that might help with ideas...I'm just at a loss to think of anything worthwhile and fun to do.
Ok, I must admit I've had a few thoughts on what to do, and these are only as follows:
-something to do with cats?
-something to do with fire?
-something to do with digital cameras?
Notice the question marks. These were only thoughts.

Any ideas will be GREATLY GREATLY GREATLY appreciated. GREATLY.
Thanks mucho.
