No, I meant that he painted many scenes that couldn't possibly exist in the physical world.

I did a research paper on Dali for art class in high school, and we touched on his work further in my History of Art and Appreciation of Fine Arts classes in college. He was very strange.
I tend to prefer works of art out of the golden age of illustration. My favorite artists are the great illustrators like Howard Pyle, Maxfield Parrish, J.C. Leyendecker, Norman Rockwell, etc. Leyendecker is my personal favorite; he had a really unique "hatchwork" style that really stands out. He was also the mentor of my second favorite great illustrator: Norman Rockwell.
