Well I rejected the black-on-white, becasue it makes me think of operating rooms. The white-on-black also seems to fit the solar eclipse theme I wanted for my website. Yellow-on-cyan would undermine my desired effect, I think.
However, I want my website to be easy to read, of course. Maybe a thicker font would help?
